One of my favorite composers ever

The Last Ranker soundtrack came in today! Yoko Shimomura never fails to impress, but then, we're taking about the same person who did Street Fighter II and Front Mission music.

Never has left my mind since I heard it first, and it's one of my favorite pieces of video game music.

But, let's get back to the main topic. Last Ranker has some really great music in it, and I do remember saying the the battle themes were the only highlight. Okay, well I wasn't thinking of all the music in the game at the time - the town music is great, and some of the dungeon music is good, too (though some of it leaves a bit to be desired). Listening to this music also has the side effect of reminding me exactly how great my Audio Technicas are. Ooooh, both of them rock so much.

Slightly spoilerific tracks include The Evinos, which has more of a techno beat to it. Be the LAST RANKER -Battle Ver.- gets a special mention, though the song only has meaning if you've played the game. Hearing it for the first time... was just epic.

Oh yeah, if you're quick, do a Google search for: アイマス can you heat it up. ^_^;
