Hatsune Miku set to appear in 7th Dragon 2020

So, there've been more 7th Dragon updates as of late, I guess since we're getting closer to release. There've been some updates on the site, and with the small gameplay footage we're getting, it looks like we're dealing with a 3 person party (at once), 5 classes, and 10 character models. It looks like there might be more than one battle theme, too.

Announced late last month, Hatsune Miku is set to cameo as an NPC character, and from what it looks like, her role does not look like it's a walk-on cameo. How major her role ends up being can't really be determined, but it's possible she could end up with a central role.

The theme song for the game, SeventH-HeaveN, is produced by sasakure.UK, and sung by Miku herself.

Back to game details, from what it looks like, though you can choose from ten different appearances, though it doesn't look like you can customize within it - you choose a model with black hair, you're stuck with black hair. I could be wrong on this one, but I get the feeling they'd have shown it if you could do it.

The five classes are Samurai, Destroyer, Psychic, Trickster, and Hacker. Samurai has been described as the all-around class, and Psychic looks like a general purpose magic user. I've seen Psychics with abilities that came from the Healer in 7th Dragon, but it looks like they have skills from Mages too. Destroyers look like melee fighters, Tricksters seem like ranged fighters, and I think I heard they also have traps. Hackers... I don't know about, but I think they'll be support characters.

I suppose if you're only dealing with 3 people, 5 classes is a good number, especially if there are many ways to take the class, but we'll see. Skill learning seems to involve bigger numbers than the original game. You can level a skill to make it better, but it looks like things get more expensive the higher you go.

Limited edition bonuses include PSP stickers, a case for your PSP, and a set of earphones.

Though I really wish there were room for four people in the party at once. I had a potential themed party all thought up. But when I think about it... appearances have to match the characters I was thinking of. I guess it might not have worked out in the end...
