Taunt more as a lure...

So, I started another run through Devil May Cry 4 the other day, hoping to get through it on Hard. Hard is a challenge, yes, but as of right now, I would say it's not that difficult per se...

... Except when the game throws a surprise Blitz on you. It's like, you'll be fighting regular demons and stuff, and kicking them across the screen (literally), and just when you think you got them all down, you hear the familiar sizzle-snap of lightning and you think to yourself, "Game, you suck." Honestly, I find some boss fights easier than fighting a Blitz.

Just now, I got through Mission 6, hitting just about every single red tile in the dice game. For those of you reading who haven't played DMC4, I'll spell it out for you: There's a room in Mission 6 where you shoot/bash a big, gigantic six-sided die, and on the floor there's a bunch of panels that an albino game-piece replica of yourself can move through. It's a linear path (that is, you can only go forward), and there's tiles that do nothing, give you some goodies, warp you backwards or forwards... and the tiles that provoke fights. About every opportunity I had to fight, guess what.

First I had a horde of Frosts, not that bad if you don't let them get away from you. Then, a bunch of Giant Scarecrows and... a Blitz. Fun. A few wussy Scarecrows and ineffectual lasers later, I hit almost the last red tile I could possibly hit. Apparently, the game designers were feeling in a bad mood or something when they made this room, that second-to-last red tile threw me into a boss fight.

... However, the initial WTF reaction quickly wore off when I realized that I'd've rather faced this guy than a Blitz. It was actually kinda relaxing in comparison.

But that's not where the fun stops. There's another boss fight after this (actually, it's more like a mini-boss fight, but still), and honestly after everything else in the stage... a regular fight harder than a boss fight, an actual boss fight, and now a mini-boss fight, I was like, "Game, you suck." At least they give you green orbs during that fight...

I finished the stage with a C in Time and an S in Style Points. I wonder how that happened... oh wait, I was in a billion fights because of my awesome luck.

Well whatever, it was actually fun at times.
