Should've cheesed him to death

So, I screwed up my Demon's Souls run, and now I'm realizing I'm going to have to go through a New Game + if I want what I missed out on.

There are certain items you can get (and events to see) in a world based on its tendency. In Pure Black, there's a special Black Phantom and a Primeveal Demon that spawn, and in Pure White, there's people you can meet and generally items you can pick up. Thing is, getting to Pure Black is easy, getting to Pure White is a little hard. You can always make it to Pure Black no matter what, but for Pure White, you have to do something special (normally), and you can mess up and not be able to attain it in a playthrough. Specifically, the two special enemies listed above have to be killed without leaving the world.

I was doing fine, really, I'd done it in three other worlds before, but for Stonefang Tunnel, I took down the Black Phantom in a special way - by pushing him off a cliff. Unfortunately, you must actually make the attack that puts the Black Phantom away in order for the world to be shifted to white. Otherwise it stays put. Mind you, these enemies only appear once per game, and the game auto-saves for you.

Meaning I'm not going to get all the special drops my first go, which I guess is okay seeing as there's no way to get everything in the first game.

But eh. Demon's Souls is a very unique experience, and everything that's needed to make a great game is there. But it does have its flaws. Maybe I'll get to them in a later post.
