EMS and DHL bring joy to my life

Finally, the last of my stuff from Japan came in last week. Celga can be a bit slow, though to their credit, I did sit on my purchases for a week or so before telling them to send it to me.

Essentially what my run boiled down to was getting a bunch of stuff I know I wanted, then finding out the rest was pretty cheap at Suruga-ya and buying them for chump change. So, here's the part of the haul of stuff I was particularly looking out for.

Unfortunately, I'm currently on Arcanum Knights, so I can't get to .hack//G.U. or Etrian Odyssey now. I figure by the time I'm done with AK, Dark Arisen and 7th Dragon 2020-II will be out, and those will occupy my time instead. Surprisingly, the first volume of .hack//G.U. was pretty hard to track down in used game shops in Akiba. The second was no problem, the third took a bit of looking, but I never found the first.

Sketchbook is also a little hard to find seeing as it's not that popular - I don't think Kinokuniya stocks it regularly, which means I have to go out of my way to find it. It's a really relaxing manga, but still kinda funny. Totan Kobako finds a lot of ways to poke fun of... just about anything mundane.

Freudenstachel is the continuation of another game I really liked, Rozenkruezstilette, and both are nearly impossible for me to spell right on the first try. It's a Megaman/Rockman style game, and it's a little challenging though not insane. It's rife with references to old school video games too, which is pretty hilarious.

Also, there's the original preorder bonus for 7th Dragon there, so it's like I preordered the game, even though I bought the bonus for just 4 bucks. Inside it is a magazine-esque booklet, and a CD of music.

The booklet contains about what you'd expect - interviews, and all that, but they also have caricatures of three of the major people involved in the game. Check out Kazuya Niino and Reiko Kodama sitting together, and Yuuzo Koshiro looking like an... old person.

There's really nothing interesting in the other game boxes (since they're just instruction manuals and such), but there's the glimpse of what's inside the preorder bonus.

As I said, I also got a lot of games that I might go through. I mean, I understand my stack is big enough, but when these little extra games are going for 5 bucks a pop and you know you want to play them eventually... eh, why not?
